The new BMW 3 Series G20 with Sport Line is presented as a 320d in mineral white metallic at the Paris Motor Show 2018. The sporty equipment line below the M Sport package is considerably cheaper, but already includes the exterior, which has been enhanced with details in high-gloss black. In addition to the design elements on the front and rear aprons, this also includes the features of the BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line and the exterior mirror caps.
The black elements of the Sport Line set interesting accents, especially in conjunction with light exterior colors such as mineral white metallic. If you order the Sport Line with dark exterior colors and prefer to add a few light accents, you can also order the BMW Individual Exterior Line aluminum satinized free of charge as an alternative to the Shadow Line. 17-inch light alloy wheels are part of the Sport Line; larger rims are of course also available as an option.
In the interior, the Sport Line comes with at least sports seats and a fabric-Sensatec combination; Vernasca leather upholstery is available for an extra charge. Ambient light is on board as well as interior trim strips in high-gloss black. Of course, this also includes the scope of the Advantage equipment package positioned below the Sport Line, including, for example, the automatic air conditioning, the storage package and PDC front and rear.
As a BMW 320d, the new 3-series G20 is powered by the current B47 biturbo diesel with a displacement of 2.0 liters. 190 hp and 400 Newton meters of torque accelerate the sedan from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.8 to 7.1 seconds, depending on the gearbox — the 320d is one of the few engines where customers can still choose between a 6-speed manual switch and an 8 -Gear automatic can choose. Both variants reach a top speed of 240 km / h, which, in view of the 190 hp, also shows the improved drag coefficient of 0.23.
The BMW 320d 2o19 is also optionally available with all-wheel drive xDrive, making it the only all-wheel drive variant for the market launch in March 2019. The higher weight of the more complex drive ensures that the acceleration to 100 km / h in 6.9 seconds despite better Traction lasts a tenth longer than in the case of the rear-wheel drive 320d with automatic transmission. The higher friction in the drive train also reduces the top speed to 233 km / h.
