After the Aachen tuner AC Schnitzer, Hamann is now also presenting its program for the BMW 5 Series GT. In Laupheim, too, the Gran Turismo gives it a more dynamic appearance and thus ensures even more exclusivity. In addition to the usual rim options, Hamann also offers sport-oriented chassis and an increase in performance, which makes the 5 Series GT even sportier from the factory. For the models 530d, 535i and 550i (excluding the 535d), Hamann also offers a lowering kit for vehicles with air suspension.
The aerodynamic components are of course decisive for the look and Hamann has a lot to offer here too: A front spoiler for mounting on the standard apron ensures a sportier look and better aerodynamics without fundamentally changing the character of the vehicle or appearing intrusive. There are also special side skirts and various rear spoilers, which are more or less discreet and allow the customer to adapt to their personal taste. The rear spoilers reduce the lift on the rear axle and thus provide additional driving stability at high speeds.
At the rear, in addition to the rear spoiler, the eye is also drawn to the new rear apron, which frames the exhaust system with four tailpipes each measuring 90 millimeters. In addition to the optics, the exhaust system should also improve the acoustics and provide a much more powerful sound.
For more longitudinal dynamics, Hamann also offers a performance upgrade for the BMW 530d GT with 245 hp ex works. This should provide 30 additional horsepower and thus bring the 530d to 275 hp. The torque also increases from a maximum of 540 to a maximum of 620 Newton meters, which means that the 530d even outperforms the 306 hp BMW 535d GT in terms of torque. Hamann does not indicate performance, but it can be assumed that the strengthened BMW 530d GT will be positioned relatively midway between the works 530d (0-100 in 6.9 seconds) and 535d (6.1 s).
The BMW 5 Series GT from Hamann has impressive 22-inch rims that go by the name of Anniversary Evo. The Laupheim-based company suggests 265 tires for the front axle, and 295 millimeter wide tires at the rear. In addition to the various components for the exterior, Hamann also offers some parts for the interior, including aluminum pedals and footrests as well as black floor mats with the Hamann logo.
